The University of Eswatini (UNESWA) announced the re-activation of the BOLESWA Intervarsity Games on Thursday, 6 February 2026, marking the end of a pause caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The revival was celebrated in a press briefing attended by UNESWA leadership and student representatives, signalling the return of regional unity and athletic excellence.

The games, which bring together universities from Botswana, Lesotho, and Eswatini, provide a platform not only for sports competition but also for cultural exchange, leadership development, and regional integration.

The 2026 edition will be hosted by the National University of Lesotho from 8 to 13 March 2026. UNESWA is inviting the corporate sector, alumni, and the public to support the event through financial or in-kind contributions.

The Vice Chancellor said, “Your support is an investment in future leaders and innovators.” Students interested in supporting the Eswatini delegation of approximately 750 participants can contact the Dean of Student Affairs, Mr Bongani Msibi, at +268 7602 1005.
