Mbabane – The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has announced the appointment of Mr Menzi Mbingo as Chief Buildings Engineer. The Civil Service Commission approved the promotion, moving Mr Mbingo from his previous role as Senior Roads Engineer.

The Ministry congratulated Mr Mbingo and acknowledged the efforts of colleagues in the Buildings Department who maintained operations while the position was vacant.

Principal Secretary Thulani Mkhaliphi said the appointment “ushers in new horizons in the general outlook of maintenance of government buildings across the whole spectrum, including government office buildings, service centres, health facilities, schools, and residential buildings.”

He added that the Ministry appeals for patience as teams “roll up our sleeves, get to work, plan and streamline our work teams, coordinate all the players in the area to know who is doing what, where and how, and get the maintenance budget properly coordinated. It will all be teamwork.”
