WINDHOEK, Namibia – The Namibia Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition will return to Windhoek from August 18 to 20, 2026, with organisers saying this year’s event is aimed at turning the country’s petroleum prospects into real business, local opportunity and long term economic value.

Now in its fourth edition, the conference will bring together government representatives, operators, investors, financiers, service providers, academics and Namibian businesses under the theme From Decision to Dividend: Making Namibia’s Oil Work for Namibians.

The event is hosted by the Economic Association of Namibia in partnership with the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board and the Hanns Seidel Foundation, with NAMCOR, SNC Incorporated and Rhino Resources as strategic partners. It has also been officially endorsed by Namibia’s Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy.

Organisers say the conference will focus on how Namibia can build a credible and competitive petroleum industry, with discussions set to cover finance, infrastructure, local participation, technical expertise and the long term national benefit of oil development.

Jason Kasuto, chairperson of NOGC 2026, said the conference is meant to produce practical outcomes rather than just discussion.

“Expect a marketplace, not a talk shop,” he says. “For investors, it is access to a stable frontier and credible local partners. For operators and service providers, a stronger, better-understood supply base. For local businesses, the chance to leave with a contract, a partner or a benchmark.”

The opening day will focus on local content and business readiness, including a masterclass that will bring suppliers, operators and industry specialists together to examine the standards and partnerships Namibian companies need in order to compete more effectively. Two pitching sessions will give 15 Namibian businesses and entrepreneurs direct exposure to potential partners and service providers.

The following two days will turn to commercial and technical issues shaping the next phase of the sector, including project economics, field development, supply chain readiness, access to finance, infrastructure, logistics, gas development and energy security. A parallel technical conference will look at exploration, technology, infrastructure and environmental management.

Organisers say the wider goal is to make sure Namibian businesses gain more than just visibility. International companies will get a better view of the local market, while local firms will have access to procurement networks, market information and the organisations likely to shape future demand.
