Siteki – Mothers, aunts, and staff at the SOS Children’s Villages Siteki Programme Location came together on Monday, 8 June 2026, for a day of reflection, appreciation, and empowerment celebrating the role they play in the lives of children, young people, and communities.

The gathering gave the women an opportunity to reconnect with their purpose, reflect on their strengths, and recognise the positive impact of their daily work with children and young people who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it.

The celebration also focused on personal growth and sustainability, with capacity-building sessions on income-generating projects. Participants were encouraged to prioritise their physical and mental well-being, manage stress effectively, and maintain a healthy work-life balance so they can continue making a lasting difference in the lives of others.
