Mpumalanga remains one of South Africa’s key tourism regions, attracting both domestic and international travellers. Its proximity to Eswatini and the Kruger National Park positions it as an important gateway for cross border tourism, making industry cooperation in the province significant for regional travel flows.

The roadshow featured contributions from major tourism bodies covering destination management, infrastructure development and the strengthening of local tourism ecosystems. The discussions focused on improving competitiveness and ensuring that tourism businesses are better equipped to respond to changing market conditions.

The event was delivered in partnership with South African Tourism, the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa, the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency and the Kruger Lowveld Chamber of Business and Tourism.
