Lagos, Nigeria – The Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr Wale Edun, has launched Nigeria’s National Single Window, a digital platform aimed at modernising trade and reducing business costs. The unveiling took place in Lagos this week.

The system brings multiple government agencies into one online platform, simplifying import and export procedures, cutting delays, and lowering the cost of doing business. Mr Edun described the initiative as “a decisive shift from complexity to coordination,” saying it would “ease trade, improve competitiveness, and support economic growth.”

For government operations, the platform enhances transparency, coordination, and revenue collection. Businesses will benefit from reduced bureaucracy and faster market access. The Minister added that improvements to port infrastructure would be essential to ensure that digital efficiency translates into tangible economic gains.

The National Single Window is part of a wider reform agenda to make Nigeria’s economy more competitive and attractive to investment. “This is about creating an economy that works faster, more efficiently, and in the interest of all Nigerians,” Mr Edun said.
