Lome, Togo – Togo and South Africa have abolished visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports in a significant step towards strengthening diplomatic and economic ties. This agreement, signed by Prime Ministers Robert Dussey of Togo and Naledi Pandor of South Africa, took effect immediately.
The move aims to ease travel and facilitate cooperation between the two nations. It streamlines the process for diplomats, government officials, and embassy staff when conducting business between Togo and South Africa.
This agreement follows a series of similar initiatives by Togo to bolster international relations. Just days earlier, Togo signed a visa-free travel deal with Sao Tome and Principe, applicable to all passport holders for stays up to 90 days. Togo has also implemented visa waivers with Gabon, Morocco, Russia, Brazil, and Qatar.
