Lagos, Nigeria – June 24, 2024 – Excitement is electrifying Lagos as Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, known professionally as Davido, prepares to tie the knot with his longtime partner Chioma Rowland in a traditional wedding ceremony tomorrow.
The couple, dubbed a “power couple” by fans, set social media ablaze on Sunday with the release of stunning pre-wedding photos. The photos, shared by Davido himself, offer a glimpse into the grandeur planned for the ceremony, which will be held on Tuesday, June 25th, at the prestigious Eko Hotels in Lagos.
The pre-wedding photos are a masterclass in elegance and royalty. In one scene, Davido is a vision in a multicolored agbada, a traditional Yoruba garment, while Chioma stuns in a flowing black gown and headwrap, her own piece of aso oke fabric echoing her husband’s vibrant attire.
Another photo embraces gold and yellow hues, with Davido seated regally on a throne-like chair, staff in hand, and Chioma standing beside him, clutching an African wand. The couple then switches gears, striking a pose in sleek, all-black outfits against a backdrop bursting with vibrant yellows.
News of the impending nuptials comes after Davido confirmed his marriage to Chioma in an interview with media personality Kiekie early last year. The couple’s fans, united under the hashtag #CHIVIDO2024, are eagerly awaiting tomorrow’s ceremony, which promises to be a star-studded celebration of love.
