Mfasini – Khetsiwe Dlamini, a young mother from the royal kraal of Mfasini in Mayiwane Constituency, has received financial assistance from the Eswatini Red Cross Society through its Cash and Voucher Assistance programme.

Dlamini, who cares for her two children, a 14-year-old daughter living with a disability and a two-year-old son, said she was overjoyed when her name was called during the selection process. The mother explained that her family depends entirely on support from others, as she is unable to maintain regular employment due to her caregiving responsibilities.

“It’s hard every day. I have no one else to help me. I cannot leave my daughter alone even for a short while, not even to go to the shop,” Dlamini said.

Community members gathered at the royal kraal unanimously selected Dlamini as one of 22 recipients eligible for the multi-purpose cash support provided by the Eswatini Red Cross.
