IPOB spokesperson, Emma Powerful, accuses Nigerian government of unfair treatment towards Igbos and allowing violence against them.
Powerful expressed disappointment over the contrast between how Nigerian security agencies handled the peaceful Shi’ite protests and the Aba killings.
“It is now on record that Ndigbo are not wanted in Nigeria due to the hatred shown to us. We must organize ourselves immediately and leave Nigeria for the other nationalities who are allowed to act freely in Nigeria.”
He suggests that recent events show Igbos are not welcome in Nigeria and calls for immediate organization to exit the country.
