SITEKI – Residents in parts of the Lubombo region will experience a water supply interruption from Friday, 13 June to Sunday, 15 June 2025, as the Eswatini Water Services Corporation (EWSC) carries out planned maintenance on the Lonhlupheko Reservoir.

According to the EWSC, the maintenance works are scheduled to take place from 08:00 to 16:00 on Friday, affecting several communities including Siteki town, Langa, Mpolonjeni, Malindza, Matsetsa, Martin, Mpaka, Shoba, Ngcina, and nearby areas.

To ease the impact of the disruption, the Corporation will provide alternative water supply using stationary water tanks. These will be placed at key locations such as Malindza VET, Malindza highway, Mpaka NDMA, Moyeni, Khutsala, Irene Store, Lonhlupheko NDMA, Ngcina, Mayaluka, Dvokodvweni Jacobs, and Khalakahle.

The EWSC has asked affected residents to prepare accordingly and regrets any inconvenience the temporary interruption may cause. The Corporation’s call centre remains open for inquiries or updates throughout the maintenance period.
