Ezulwini – The Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS) yesterday hosted its Women’s Day celebrations under the theme “What Will It Take”, with discussions centred on empowerment, legal rights and personal growth.

The event, held on Friday at the ERS headquarters, was attended by female staff dressed in colourful headwraps in line with the “Doek on Fleek” dress code.

Psychologist Nontobeko Dlamini urged women to set clear personal and professional goals. She spoke about the need for focus in career paths, relationships and parenting, noting that planning and resilience were vital in navigating life’s challenges.

ERS Legal Advisor Bongekile Singwane addressed the country’s dual marriage system, where civil rites coexist with customary marriage. She explained the legal implications of both systems, including how dissolution is handled, and pointed to recent developments affecting women within Eswatini’s legal framework.

The gathering combined education and celebration, with ERS recognising the contribution and resilience of women within the organisation.
