Workplace safety push gains ground with VH@Work training

The second round of the VH@Workplace training has wrapped up in Eswatini, bringing a fresh wave of momentum to the country’s efforts to build safer and more inclusive work environments. Held at Sibane Sami Hotel, the session drew participation from a cross-section of organizations committed to improving how they handle grievances, disciplinary matters, and employee well-being.

The training is part of a broader initiative spearheaded by Business Eswatini, responding to global demands for workplaces free from violence and harassment. It draws its framework from ILO Convention 190, which calls for the elimination of such conduct in the world of work.

Participants were equipped with practical tools to resolve conflicts fairly, manage disciplinary processes transparently, and create environments that respect the rights and dignity of all employees. The program also encourages a shift toward cultures rooted in accountability and mental wellness, both of which are becoming essential in modern workplace dynamics.

As more sessions are planned, Business Eswatini is inviting public and private institutions across the country to take part.
