Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, September 2026: Eswatini has joined other Southern African Development Community (SADC) member states at the 2026 SADC Anti Corruption Expo and Games held in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, as countries across the region seek to strengthen cooperation in preventing and combating corruption.
The regional gathering brought together representatives from SADC member states to share experiences, exchange knowledge and explore innovative approaches to tackling corruption.
Eswatini participated in the event alongside the SADC Anti Corruption Committee (SACC), with the country expressing appreciation to the Government of Zimbabwe for hosting this year’s Expo and Games.
The Eswatini delegation also recognised the logistical and financial resources committed by Zimbabwe to hosting the regional programme.
The Anti Corruption Expo and Games form part of a longer standing regional initiative aimed at strengthening cooperation among SADC countries on corruption prevention.
The initiative dates back to 2011, when Botswana, Lesotho and Eswatini established a partnership known as BOLESWA. The partnership operated from 2011 to 2017 and provided an early platform for the participating countries to work together on anti corruption initiatives.
The initiative was expanded in 2018 to become BOLESWASANA, bringing together Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, South Africa and Namibia.
Eswatini has recognised Botswana’s role in initiating the regional platform and credited the country with providing leadership in establishing the initiative.
The Expo and Games have since provided SADC member states with an opportunity to build professional networks, exchange experiences and develop approaches aimed at improving the effectiveness of anti corruption measures.
