Adventure seekers and travelers to Tanzania will rejoice as Air France unveils a new direct route between Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport and Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) starting November 18th, 2024. This strategic move strengthens Air France’s presence in Africa, offering a more convenient gateway to the region’s natural wonders.
The new service operates three times weekly, departing Paris on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Return flights from Kilimanjaro take off on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. This schedule caters to both short getaways and extended adventures.
Air France will deploy its modern Airbus A350-900 aircraft on the route, known for its fuel efficiency and passenger comfort. Travelers flying from Dar es Salaam can still connect to Paris via Amsterdam through Air France’s partner airline, KLM, which offers frequent flights between these destinations.
“This new route is a strategic decision to meet the growing demand for travel to East Africa,” said Rajat Kumar, Air France-KLM Tanzania Country Manager. Kilimanjaro International Airport serves as the gateway to Tanzania’s breathtaking landscapes and adventure opportunities, including the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The addition of the Kilimanjaro route complements Air France’s existing direct flights to Nairobi, Kenya, offering travelers more flexibility when planning their East African expeditions.
