Piggs Peak – Commerce, Industry and Trade Minister Manqoba Khumalo yesterday visited two major factory construction sites in Piggs Peak and Ngwenya to assess progress.
At the Piggs Peak site, earthworks are nearing completion and the steel structure is expected to start going up before the end of the year. Khumalo said the development represents a key step in boosting industrial growth and opening up opportunities for emaSwati.

The minister was accompanied by officials from Micro Projects and the contractor, who confirmed that the project is progressing according to schedule.
Later in the day, Khumalo proceeded to Ngwenya, where construction of another factory is also underway. The project, expected to be completed by June 2026, is advancing well and has gained strong community support.
Joining the minister on site were representatives from Micro Projects, the contractor, the area Member of Parliament and the Indvuna Yenkhundla.
