Mbabane – Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini assured emaSwati yesterday, Friday 18th July 2025, that the country remains safe following the arrival of five deportees from the United States.

Speaking during a press briefing at Cabinet Offices, Dlamini said the deportees are being held at a Correctional facility while arrangements are made for their repatriation to their countries of origin.

The Prime Minister said Eswatini continues to enjoy strong diplomatic ties with the United States and other nations and is working closely with relevant authorities to facilitate the safe and legal transfer of the deportees.

He said the Mbube Royal Family has been involved in discussions with the US and other countries where the individuals originate, with talks already underway on their return.

The repatriation process is being handled in accordance with international law, including United Nations procedures, with assistance from global organisations that manage such cases.

Dlamini urged emaSwati to remain calm and not panic over the arrival of the deportees, stressing there is no threat to national peace and security.
