New Delhi, India – MTN Bushfire Co Founding Director Jiggs Thorne attended the 2026 Soundscapes of India music showcase, joining international delegates in India for discussions on artist mobility, cultural exchange and future collaborations.
The event brought together Indian artists, music industry professionals and festival representatives to explore links between India, its diaspora communities and partners across Africa. Soundscapes of India was held from August 29 to 31 at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi, despite the Bushfire post referring to Mumbai.
Bushfire said Thorne’s participation formed part of the festival’s commitment to supporting arts mobility and celebrating cultural diversity.
The Eswatini festival described the gathering as an opportunity to engage with India’s music community while opening conversations around musical and cultural collaborations involving artists and organisations from the African region.
Soundscapes of India is organised by the Indian Performing Right Society in partnership with cultural bodies, and its 2026 edition featured more than 100 artists and international music industry delegates.
Bushfire congratulated Soundscapes of India Director Kaushik Dutta and his team for creating a platform that connected artists and international delegates, saying it looked forward to building on the discussions in future.
