Mbabane – Prime Minister of Eswatini, Russell Mmiso Dlamini, welcomed a high-level delegation from the East Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC) to the Private and Cabinet Office on Thursday. The delegation was led by Dr. Ntuli Angyelile Kapologwe, the Director General of ECSA-HC, and included Eswatini’s Minister of Health, Mduduzi Matsebula, and the Director of Operations and Institutional Development, Sibusiso Sibandze.

The visit was aimed at assessing Eswatini’s preparedness to host the 76th Ministers of Health Conference scheduled for February 10-12, 2026. During the meeting, Dr. Kapologwe briefed the Prime Minister on the ECSA-HC’s ongoing initiatives in Eswatini and praised the country for its strides in improving the health sector, particularly in the digitalisation of health systems and the improved availability of essential medicines.

As part of the visit, the delegation toured several health facilities in Eswatini, including Hlane and Lobamba clinics, to further assess the impact of these improvements on the ground.
