Central Bank of Eswatini Deputy Director of Operations for Fintech and Innovation, Linda Dlamini, has been honoured with the Technical Leadership Award by the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI).

The award, presented this week, recognises individuals from AFI member institutions who demonstrate outstanding technical leadership within the organisation’s working groups.

Dlamini, who sits on the Digital Financial Services Working Group representing 76 member institutions from 66 countries, was shortlisted in May alongside nominees from Fiji, the Dominican Republic and Zimbabwe.

Speaking after receiving the award, Dlamini said it was recognition of her consistent participation and contributions. “I have played a key role in developing knowledge products and leading sub-groups within the working group. I also actively promote AFI’s work both on social media and within Eswatini. At present, I serve as the gender focal point for the working group,” she explained.
