Mbabane – Police have arrested a 20-year-old man from Siphocosini in connection with the death of a 33-year-old Mantabeni resident. The incident occurred on 24 December 2025 around 11:55 PM at a busy drinking spot in Siphocosini.
Police reports indicate the deceased, who was out on bail for a previous 2023 murder charge, picked up a fallen earring belonging to a female patron intending to return it. The woman reportedly reacted angrily, sparking an argument during which the deceased allegedly drew a knife. The suspect allegedly acted quickly, stabbing the man in the neck.
The victim was rushed to Mbabane Government Hospital but succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment. The arrested suspect now faces murder charges.
