Mankayane — The Royal Eswatini Police Service has teamed up with local business owners, schools, and communities to push the “NKWE” slogan as part of a new drive to tackle crime in Mankayane and nearby areas.

The most notable development came with the official opening of the Mankayane satellite Police Post, which residents welcomed as a way to get faster and easier police support. The new post aims to increase police presence and improve safety across the area.

Community police officers were also issued new equipment, including handcuffs, whistles, and reflector jackets, to better assist them in protecting the public.

Senior Deputy National Commissioner Emmanuel Sula Dlamini spoke at the event, outlining four key strategies for fighting crime: increasing police visibility, maintaining police professionalism, fostering partnerships between police and communities, and strengthening community engagement.

He noted that stock theft, once a major issue, has started to decline. “We want to see more positive results, especially in solving murder and rape cases,” Dlamini said, acknowledging the hard work of police officers in these areas.
