Malkerns Town Council has officially launched a 12-month Youth Entrepreneurship Development Programme in partnership with ENtrepreneurial ACTion for US Eswatini, targeting 15 young people from the Malkerns area.

The programme, which got under way on Monday, is designed to empower young people through entrepreneurship development and mentorship as part of broader efforts to tackle the high unemployment rate in the area.

Speaking at the launch, the Mayor reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to creating an environment that supports youth empowerment, economic participation, and community development.

Enactus Eswatini Country Director Sabelo Dlamini was also present at the launch, representing the organisation that will walk alongside the young entrepreneurs throughout the programme.

ENtrepreneurial ACTion for US Eswatini assured the young entrepreneurs that they would receive continuous support throughout the duration of the programme as they take their first steps on their entrepreneurial journey.
