Mbabane – Government officials, private sector representatives and a visiting delegation from Taiwan gathered at Mountain View Hotel for the Taiwan–Eswatini Business Seminar Workshop, convened by the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) in collaboration with the Embassy of Taiwan and other stakeholders.

The workshop brought together Portfolio Committee members of both houses of parliament alongside business leaders to engage in dialogue on strengthening bilateral trade and investment between the two nations. Discussions focused on key sectors of mutual interest, knowledge exchange and opportunities for doing business in Eswatini. Speakers at the event came from Business Eswatini, the Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC) and EIPA.

The Minister at the Taiwan Embassy told those gathered that Taiwan remains firmly committed to deepening its long-standing economic partnership with Eswatini. He said the Taiwan Industrial and Innovation Park (TIIP) project continues to make steady progress and is positioned as a catalyst for increased investment inflows, job creation, skills transfer and the expansion of local industries.

Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Melusi Masuku, represented the Minister at the workshop and officially welcomed the Taiwanese delegation to the Kingdom. He told the delegation that Eswatini is ready to support investors and encouraged them to leverage available opportunities, share technical expertise and contribute to the country’s ongoing economic transformation agenda.
