Swakopmund, Namibia — Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) concluded a strong performance at the Southern African Inter-Revenue Administration Games (SAIRAG) 2026, which ended last night in Swakopmund. The tournament brought together seven nations, Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, combining sport, networking, and professional collaboration.

The Lesotho delegation, made up of 260 employees, arrived on Thursday and competed in football, netball, and other disciplines, showing resilience and teamwork throughout the three-day event.

Acting Commissioner General of RSL, Mr Rakokoana Makoa, attended an interactive dinner hosted by Namibia Revenue Agency Commissioner, Mr Sam Shivute, fostering discussion on regional cooperation beyond sports.

Earlier, Mr Makoa met with Mr Shivute to discuss tax debt management, revenue compliance, digital transformation, and Employee Value Proposition strategies. Both agencies explored formalising their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing across Southern Africa.

The opening ceremony at Vineta Sports Grounds on 3 April showcased RSL in full spirit and pride while celebrating Southern Africa’s cultural diversity. The team’s participation reflected professionalism, teamwork, and regional camaraderie, leaving a lasting impression on the tournament.
