Lobamba – His Majesty King Mswati III guided regiments at the Ludzidzini Royal Residence on the second day of the Incwala ceremony, drawing crowds from across the country. Despite persistent rain, hundreds of emaSwati danced and sang with energy, demonstrating their devotion to the sacred event.
Incwala, the Kingdom’s traditional kingship ceremony, symbolizes unity, renewal, and loyalty to the King. The second day saw emaButfo regiments gather at Ludzidzini, continuing the build-up to the main Incwala festivities that will welcome 2026.
The celebrations included traditional songs, dances, and rituals as King Mswati III prepared for the ceremonial journeys to Ngabezweni and Buhleni Royal Residences, where the commissioning of the Ingatja marks the start of the main ceremony.
Her Majesty the Indlovukazi joined the regiments and attendees, adding to the vibrant display of centuries-old Eswatini traditions. Diverse regiments including Lancwebetelako Ingatja, Lutsango, Imbali, Bokhololo, and media units performed together, creating a powerful showcase of the Kingdom’s cultural heritage.
The second day confirmed the enduring importance of Incwala as a celebration of kingship, unity, and cultural pride, attracting locals and visitors eager to witness the Kingdom’s traditions firsthand.
