Tokyo, Japan – August 24, 2024 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the official logo for the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), which will take place in Yokohama from August 20 to 22, 2025.
The winning logo was designed by Ms. Natsumi Watanabe, a student. The design features a blue-green color palette, symbolizing lush growth and the connection between Yokohama and Africa. The continent’s shape is incorporated into the letter “9,” creating a memorable and impactful logo.
The official logo will be used in various events related to TICAD 9 to promote African development.
