During the annual Ramadan lecture organised in his honour, the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, promised the people of the state that he would not disappoint them.

Adeleke expressed gratitude to his family members, friends, party people, and associates for their trust in him, especially in light of the obstacles he faced on his journey to the governorship of Osun.

In a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke acknowledged the people of Osun State for demonstrating an uncommon love towards him by voting for him during the governorship poll and subsequent federal and state elections.

Adeleke assured the people of Osun that he is governing the state with an eye on his electoral promises and will keep faith in the aspirations and wishes of the people. Despite the poor state of finance inherited from his predecessor, Adeleke pledged to ensure the delivery of the dividends of democracy.

He stressed that his administration is a true government of the people, for the people, and by the people. Adeleke urged the people not to relent in their prayers for the state and his administration, adding that his team and party would remain focused on serving the public good.
