Mbabane – Five local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have returned from the Good Life Show in Johannesburg, South Africa, bringing new partnerships, strategies, and renewed confidence. The trip was supported by the European Union (EU) and the International Trade Centre (ITC).

Participating businesses reported positive outcomes from the event. Black Mamba said the show opened new growth opportunities. Bom Dia Bakery & Restaurant shared plans to refine products and prepare for future trade shows. Sunkissed noted pathways to grow from a local artisanal brand into a regionally competitive, export-ready business.

Let’s Eat Eswatini gained fresh ideas for packaging and retail partnerships after seeing similar products on South African shelves. SKYEM reported insights into the growing demand for organic skincare and strategies to compete at a higher level. Longmaster Investments cited practical lessons in professional packaging and branding, along with potential collaborations.

Luis Miguel Pascoal of the EU commented that these MSMEs are contributing to sustainable growth, job creation, and regional competitiveness.

The initiative forms part of the “Eswatini: Promoting growth through competitive alliances” programme, implemented by ITC in partnership with the EU and the Eswatini Government, aimed at supporting small farmers, entrepreneurs, and artisans in export-led growth.
