Matsapha – The Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo, delivered the keynote address at the launch of Ashley Eswatini, held last night at the Lifestyle Centre in Matsapha.

Ashley, the world’s largest furniture manufacturer, has opened its first store in the Kingdom, a move the minister described as a significant step for Eswatini’s economic growth and global integration. He said the investment would create new jobs, promote skills development and provide opportunities for local entrepreneurs and suppliers.

Khumalo added that Matsapha, known as the country’s industrial and commercial hub, was a fitting location for the store. He noted that the Lifestyle Centre reflects His Majesty King Mswati III’s vision for modern malls that meet international standards.

The project is spearheaded by the AI Mansoor Group in partnership with Ashley, a development the minister said strengthens Eswatini’s trade ties, including growing relations with the United States.
