The Technical Mission of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Eswatini carried out a health screening exercise yesterday at Horo Clinic in northern Hhohho, drawing more than 200 residents.
The outreach formed part of the mission’s ongoing non-communicable diseases (NCD) project, which focuses on hypertension and diabetes. Residents first attended a group health education session before undergoing medical checks.
Dr Bo-Wei Su, a family medicine specialist from National Taiwan University Hospital Hsinchu Branch, joined the team and attended to patients with more complex conditions, ensuring that those in need of further medical care received attention on the spot.
The mission said the exercise was aimed at improving access to preventive healthcare in rural communities and encouraging people to better understand their health status.
