NEW YORK – Minister of Housing and Urban Development Appolo Maphalala and Minister of ICT Savannah Maziya joined representatives from the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development at the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in New York, USA, on Monday.

The forum, running under the theme “Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for leaving no one behind,” focuses this year on SDG Goals 3 (health), 5 (gender equality), 8 (economic growth), 14 (life below water), and 17 (partnerships).

Eswatini is presenting its Voluntary National Review, marking the country’s third report on progress since 2015. For the first time, Eswatini will also submit a Voluntary Local Review highlighting SDG achievements at the local government level, including successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
