MANZINI – Over 100 young artisans, including 14 living with disabilities, have received vocational toolkits from the Ministry of Sport, Culture and Youth Affairs during the official launch of the TVET Toolkit Distribution programme held in the Manzini region on Thursday.

The initiative, led by the Eswatini National Youth Council (ENYC), aims to boost economic participation among young people by equipping them with practical tools to support trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and tailoring.

Speaking at the handover event, Minister Bongani Nzima called on beneficiaries to build networks with peers, establish small enterprises, and become active problem-solvers in their communities.

“This is a step towards reflecting that, as young people, you are no longer on the sidelines of the economy,” Nzima said. “You are fast becoming participants—crafting, creating, building, and innovating within the informal sector.”

Nzima encouraged the artisans to use the opportunity to start bold ventures and extend opportunities to others. “Your success must multiply, touching families, peers and your communities,” he added.
