President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan officially welcomed a new group of foreign ambassadors to the United Arab Emirates today. The ceremony, held at Qasr Al Bahr Palace in Abu Dhabi, marked the beginning of their diplomatic duties in the UAE.
Moataz Abdullah Al Fahim, the UAE’s newly appointed Ambassador to Myanmar, also took his oath of office before His Highness the President.
President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed extended a warm welcome to the ambassadors, expressing his hope for a successful tenure and improved relations between the UAE and their respective countries. He emphasized the UAE’s commitment to fostering collaboration across various fields, built on a foundation of mutual respect and shared interests. The President also highlighted the UAE’s ongoing efforts to promote global development and prosperity.
Among the new ambassadors received were Fredrik Florén of Sweden, Sidney Leon Romeiro of Brazil, Sultan bin Abdullah Al Anqari of Saudi Arabia, Gervais Moumou of Seychelles, Tuula Yrjölä of Finland, Renso Herrera Franco of the Dominican Republic, Ahmed El Tazi of Morocco, Souleymane Konaté of Burkina Faso, Ridwaan Jadwat of Australia, and Sekou Cherifke Camara of Guinea.
The ambassadors reciprocated the warm welcome, conveying greetings from their leaders and heartfelt wishes for the UAE’s continued progress and prosperity. They expressed their enthusiasm about serving in the UAE and their unwavering commitment to strengthening bilateral relations at all levels.
The ceremony was attended by prominent figures including Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; and Khaled Belhoul Al Falasi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Several other dignitaries were also present.
