MBABANE – Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Hon. Manqoba Khumalo, has committed to securing funding for the upgrade of Mbabane Market over the next three years.

He made the announcement during the presentation of the Eswatini Consumer Fair Report hosted by the Municipal Council of Mbabane. The planned upgrade is intended to support small businesses, improve trading conditions, and attract more customers, including tourists.

The Minister also confirmed that the Consumer Fair, first hosted in April 2025 by A Peculiar People, will now be held annually with full backing from the Ministry.

Khumalo said the event’s success proved the need to establish a modern city market in Mbabane that will serve as a hub for local enterprise and urban tourism.
