The eVisa system allows travelers to apply for and receive a visa online before their trip. This makes the process much faster and more convenient than applying for a visa in person. The eVisa is available to citizens of 48 countries, including the United States, Canada, and most of Europe.

When it comes to cuisine, Mozambique offers a unique blend of Portuguese, African, and Indian influences. Sample dishes like peri-peri chicken, matapa (a stew made from cassava leaves and peanuts), and pãozinho (small, soft rolls) for a taste of the country’s culinary traditions.

Mozambique also has a rich cultural heritage, with a mix of indigenous, colonial, and Islamic influences. Explore historic sites like the 16th-century Fortress of Maputo or the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Island of Mozambique, a former Portuguese trading post.

The country is known for its lively music and dance scene as well, with styles ranging from marrabenta (a fusion of African, Latin, and Portuguese rhythms) to the traditional timbila music of the Chopi people. Don’t miss the chance to experience a live performance during your trip.

For wildlife lovers, Mozambique has a diverse array of animals to discover. Go on a safari in Gorongosa National Park or take a boat trip to spot dolphins and humpback whales in the Bazaruto Archipelago.
