Lagos, Nigeria – August 5, 2024 – Afrobeats phenomenon Asake is set to ignite a global dancefloor frenzy with the release of his highly anticipated third studio album, “Lungu Boy,” this Friday, August 9th.

“Lungu Boy” boasts a heavyweight lineup of international collaborations, solidifying Asake’s place as a leading force in Afrobeats. The 15-track project features Nigerian superstar Wizkid, American hip-hop titan Travis Scott, British grime royalty Stormzy and Central Cee, and Brazilian songstress LUDMILLA.

This stellar roster of features comes after a string of successful collaborations throughout 2024, including tracks with Zlatan, Ayra Starr, Victony, Tems, and Central Cee. “Lungu Boy” follows the chart-topping success of singles like “Only Me” and “Wave” featuring Central Cee.

The album release coincides with the “Lungu Boy” world tour, which kicks off this summer. The tour includes stops at the legendary O2 Arena, previously headlined by Asake in 2023, and the iconic Madison Square Garden, making him only the fourth Nigerian artist to grace the venue’s main stage.

His debut album, “Mr. Money With The Vibes,” bagged the coveted Album of the Year award at the 2023 Headies Awards. His sophomore effort, “Work of Art,” spawned the record-breaking hit single “Lonely At The Top,” which held the top spot on the TurnTable Top 100 chart for an unprecedented amount of time.

With “Lungu Boy” on the horizon, Asake is poised to continue his reign at the forefront of Afrobeats and deliver another global smash.
