Mbombela – The Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA) launched the 2025 Events Calendar on Friday, 22 August, at The Capital Hotel in Mbombela, South Africa, showcasing the Kingdom’s upcoming festivals and attractions.

CEO Vusie Dlamini, represented by Head of Marketing Chunky Dlamini, told participants that Eswatini is ready to welcome tourists with a variety of unique and diverse experiences. The launch focused on the peak tourism season beginning in August, highlighting activities such as the Umhlanga Reed Dance, International Trade Fair, Swazi Rally, Kings Golf Cup, Imbube Marathon, Mlawula Campfire Festival, and Swazi Polo.

The event brought together officials from the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency, tour operators, content creators, bikers, and media representatives. Dlamini pointed to the Triland initiative as a key effort to promote the Eswatini-Mpumalanga-Mozambique route as a regional destination of choice.

Tourism statistics show South Africa and Mozambique as the largest sources of visitors, with arrivals from Africa up 10.7% this year. The ETA encouraged continued collaboration with regional partners to strengthen marketing, attract tourists, and support local events.

Dlamini invited tourists and business visitors to experience Eswatini’s offerings, describing the Kingdom as a place where “A Royal Experience Awaits.”
