MBABANE — A 25-year-old man from Ngcoseni has been arrested and charged under the Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Act of 2018 for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl from Ngwenya Village.

Police reports indicate that on January 28, 2026, at around 16:30, the victim met the suspect on the road. He reportedly asked if she was still refusing his “request,” and she reaffirmed her lack of interest. The suspect then allegedly offered her a soft drink, which she drank.

The victim later lost awareness of what happened and woke up inside the suspect’s house on January 29, 2026. She raised the alarm and was rescued, then taken to the One-Stop Centre, where a Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence (SODV) case was opened.

Following an investigation, police arrested the suspect on January 30, 2026, after the victim identified him at the scene. He appeared in the Mbabane Magistrates’ Court on February 2, 2026, and was remanded in custody until March 12, 2026.
