Johannesburg, South Africa: South African Tourism is preparing to open registrations for Africa’s Travel Indaba 2027, with the process expected to begin by the end of September 2026.
The tourism body said preparations are underway to update the official Africa’s Travel Indaba website so that it can accommodate registrations for next year’s event.
South African Tourism said the exact opening date will be communicated to the travel industry once its internal procedures have been completed.
“At present, plans are in motion to have registration start towards the end of September. As such, the ATI website is being updated to accommodate the registration process. Once the internal procedures have been finalised, we will inform the industry of the confirmed opening date and provide further details,” SA Tourism said in response to an enquiry from Tourism Update.
The latest announcement follows an earlier indication from Corné Koch, Chief Convention Bureau Officer at the South African National Convention Bureau, that registrations and applications for exhibition stands for ATI 2027 would open by September at the latest.
Africa’s Travel Indaba is one of Africa’s major travel trade events, bringing together tourism businesses, exhibitors and buyers from across the continent and international markets.
The opening of registrations is expected to be an important step for companies and tourism professionals planning their participation in the 2027 edition.
SA Tourism is expected to provide further information on registration arrangements and the confirmed opening date once the preparations are finalised.
