Tokyo— Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has wrapped up a successful official visit to Japan, where he represented Eswatini at Expo 2025 in Osaka. The event offered a global platform to promote the Kingdom’s rich culture and highlight key investment opportunities across multiple sectors.
During his stay, the Prime Minister engaged with potential investors, presenting Eswatini’s Programme of Action aimed at accelerating economic growth. He addressed investor questions and showcased sectors ready for development, reinforcing confidence in the country’s prospects.
The visit also included participation in a National Day celebration hosted by the Japanese government, where Eswatini’s cultural heritage was on full display. Performances by singer Nomzamo ‘Zaza’ Dlamini and the Mantenga Cultural Group drew praise and captured the spirit of the nation.
After Osaka, the Prime Minister traveled to Tokyo for strategic discussions with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) President Dr. Tanaka Akihiko and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. These meetings focused on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring opportunities in tourism and investment.
Eswatini now looks ahead to the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) scheduled for August.
