TOKYO – Prime Minister Russel Mmiso Dlamini held talks with Japan’s Prime Minister, Shigeru Ishiba, during a diplomatic visit to Tokyo on Wednesday.

The meeting, which took place at the Prime Minister’s Office, focused on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring new areas of cooperation between Eswatini and Japan.

Shigeru welcomed Eswatini’s commitment to diplomatic relations and said Japan is eager to host the Kingdom at the upcoming Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) set for August.

The two leaders reflected on the longstanding friendship between their nations, which has spanned five decades. They also discussed shared priorities and opportunities for future collaboration in sectors such as development, trade, and infrastructure.
