MBABANE – Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla is set to take centre stage at the Eswatini Investment Conference, scheduled for 14–15 May 2025 in Ezulwini, where she will address international and local delegates on the kingdom’s investment potential.
The two-day event, hosted by the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) under the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade, is expected to draw high-level government officials, financiers, policymakers and potential investors from across the globe.
Themed “Creating opportunities for rapid economic transformation,” the conference will focus on strengthening Eswatini’s position as a preferred destination for trade and investment, particularly in strategic sectors such as agriculture, mining, ICT, infrastructure, tourism, and manufacturing.
Dladla, who was appointed Deputy Prime Minister by His Majesty King Mswati III in November 2023, brings decades of leadership experience in governance, education and diplomacy. Before assuming her current role, she served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, becoming the first woman to hold the post.
She also previously chaired the Public Accounts Committee in Parliament and held executive roles in adult education, notably as CEO of the Sebenta National Institute. Her tenure in public service spans over 15 years in Parliament and nearly three decades in the education sector.
Participants at the conference will engage in sector-focused sessions aimed at unlocking new opportunities for investment and partnership, with support from sponsors including Standard Bank, MTN Eswatini, DP World and Eswatini Air.
