Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo will speak at the inaugural Eswatini Investment Conference set for 14–15 May 2025. The event, themed “Creating opportunities for rapid economic transformation”, will take place under the leadership of the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) with guidance from the ministry.

Khumalo, who has served as minister since his appointment by His Majesty King Mswati III in 2018, is expected to engage with local and international investors, policy makers, and business leaders. The conference will present Eswatini as a viable destination for trade and investment, and will cover sectors such as agriculture, energy, ICT, manufacturing, mining, infrastructure, and tourism.

Before his government role, Khumalo worked in senior positions across Coca-Cola’s operations in North and South America and held leadership roles in Europe. His service to the country includes board positions with the Royal Eswatini Sugar Corporation, Tibiyo TakaNgwane, and Standard Bank Swaziland.

He was inducted into the African Leadership Magazine Hall of Fame in 2020 after receiving the African Trade Promotion Excellence Award. He holds an MBA from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a BSc (Hons) in Digital Technology from the Dublin Institute of Technology, and a Biochemistry degree from the University of Eswatini.
