Mbabane – Two brothers wanted in South Africa for the murders of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane will be handed over next week after dropping their extradition appeal in eSwatini.
Siyabonga Gezani and Malusi Dave Ndimande face 24 charges, including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, and unlawful possession of automatic firearms and ammunition.
The South African Police Service confirmed it received the extradition order from the eSwatini government and is finalising arrangements to take custody of the brothers on Tuesday, 11 November 2025. National police commissioner General Fannie Masemola thanked eSwatini authorities for their cooperation.
Justice and Constitutional Development Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi’s office said the acting Prime Minister of eSwatini approved the extradition order. Ministerial spokesperson Terrence Manase added that Saps would handle all logistical arrangements, with court dates in KwaZulu-Natal to be confirmed after their arrival.
The Manzini Magistrate’s Court approved the extradition in August, but the brothers lodged an appeal, which they withdrew on Monday, 3 November. Interpol offices in both countries are coordinating the handover.
The case has drawn attention in South African political circles. Last month, suspended deputy national police commissioner Shadrack Sibiya told an ad hoc committee on police corruption that investigations involving KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi were initially smooth but became tense during the Forbes murder probe. Former South African police minister Bheki Cele reportedly questioned whether the correct suspects had been arrested.
