Johannesburg, South Africa – Simba, a leading snacks manufacturer, and KFC, a renowned fast-food chain, have joined forces to introduce Simba’s KFC Original Recipe® flavored Potato Chips.

The new potato crisps offering is now available in retail stores across South Africa, although the retail price has not been disclosed.

Simba has planned a comprehensive social media marketing campaign to promote the new product and reveal how they gained access to KFC’s secret recipe. Customers are encouraged to share their thoughts on the new flavor using designated hashtags.

The collaboration between Simba and KFC aims to bring the iconic taste of KFC’s Original Recipe Chicken to Simba’s beloved potato chips. This fusion of flavors is expected to delight consumers.

Simba has a history of experimenting with unique flavors for its South African market, resulting in popular snacks like Mrs. H.S Ball’s Chutney and Creamy Cheddar. The new KFC Original Recipe® flavor aligns with this tradition.

Vilosha Soni, Chief Marketing Officer at Pepsico South Africa (Simba’s parent company), expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the strong connection between Simba and KFC in South African hearts.

Grant Macpherson, KFC South Africa’s Chief Marketing Officer, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the shared passion for bringing memorable tastes to South African consumers.
