Azimio Treasury Cabinet Secretary nominee Wycliffe Oparanya has pledged to tackle the high cost of living during the coalition’s last rally in Kasarani Stadium on Saturday. The Kakamega governor said his first assignment will be to ensure Kenyans are cushioned against high cost of living which has pushed majority to the edge if they win the August 9 election. Oparanya called on Kenyans to come out in large numbers and vote for Azimio candidate Raila Odinga. “With Raila as the President he will change the cost of living and improve of the lifestyle of all Kenyans,” Oparanya said. “As Treasury Minister I will look at what we can do to immediately reduce the cost of living. I will see where to do adjustments to ensure the cost of living comes down.” Oparnaya was speaking during Azimio’s last rally at Kasarani attended by Raila and his running mate Martha Karua.
