Scarlet Ribbon to host Malawi Achievers Awards – South Africa (MAA-SA)


Organisers of Malawi Achievers Awards – South Africa have announced that this year’s event will take place in Edenvale, Johannesburg at Scarlet Ribbon.

Through a press release made available to The African Daily, the event aims at uniting Malawians living in South Africa and also wishes to honor Malawians with positive impact.

“We have a lot of Malawians living in South Africa and most of them have been influential in the development of our country back home. We wish to recognise them and get together as one,” explained Samuel Mwale, Managing Director of Mbiri Events, organisers behind the function.

Lined up to spice the event is Zimbabwe’s Buffalo Souljah, Malawi’s Tay Grin, Fredokiss, Janta and Nesnes.

“We have taken the great step and we have involved local acts. This is for Malawi and we celebrate Malawi in style this coming month as we award individuals who have been extraordinary towards the well-being of people in Malawi and South Africa,” explained Mwale.

This is the first time that Malawians hosts such an event in South Africa. According to Mwale, people will be recognised in Sports, Entertainment, Social Welfare as well as good will activities.
